Ethernet Cabling

We offer service and installation of ethernet network structured cabling systems that include Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6a and Cat 7. Today ethernet is regarded as one of the most cost-effective methods in building data and voice networks.

Cat 5e is viewed as an industry standard and supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, and 1000BASE-T network standards. It supports the networks that run at 10 Mbps as well as networks that operate at 1 Gbps. In the majority of applications, Cat 5e is currently the preferable and more suitable solution to Cat 6. This is because it performs similarly as well and is a lot more economical. However, when you are sure that every component in your network is 10 Gigabit (10GBASE-T) or the data volume that is transmitted requires 10 gigabit performance, Cat 6 is a more viable option for your business. This is provided the cables don’t exceed 164 ft. in length. Cat 6A will transmit at 10 gigabit up to 328 ft. It’s also important to note that many businesses are moving to cloud based servers. In this scenario, it is the speed of their internet that is relevant. This further reduces the necessity for Category 6 cabling.

Structured cabling systems are described as an aggregate cabling system coupled with the associated hardware that offers a telecommunications infrastructure. Coax

This solution is often seen as more useful for the transmission of CATV, another cabling service that TeslaWatt offers to their clients.

Coax Cable is a type of cable that has existed for a surprising amount of time. It was invented around 1880 by the English engineer and mathematician Oliver Heaviside. The design’s efficiency and the term coax, or coaxial, are owed to a single geometric axis that is common in the cable’s component parts.

Coax cable consists of a single conducting wire surrounded by an insulating material surrounded by a layer of conductive shielding and then sheathed in an insulating plastic. The conductive shielding and the inner conductor are the components that share the same geometric axis. The size of the specifications of the insulating material are significant as well. The signal that is carried along the cable actually exists in an electromagnetic field between the inner and outer conductor.

Coax cable is produced with a conductor spacing that is optimized for radio signals. This allows it to be used in radio, television and computer connections.

Coax is a wire type that involves a center-wire that is surrounded by insulation along with grounded shield consisting of braided wire. This shield works on minimizing radio and electrical frequency interference.

Fiber Optics Cabling

Fiber Splice & Termination

Fast fiber fusion splicing services using the latest splicing equipment provides the most efficient termination of fiber optic cabling. Our engineers terminate fiber optic cables onsite whether installed by us, you or existing cables. All cable types including single mode fiber (9/125µm) or multi-mode (62.5/125µm and 50/125µm) can be terminated with the required type of fiber termination type (ST. SC, FC/PC, LC).

Fiber Optic Equipment

TeslaWatt can provide total fiber optic cabling communication solutions including the fiber optic transmission equipment. We offer the design, supply and installation of fiber optic network cabling and the fiber transmission equipment to allow communications across longer distances that are possible over copper cabling. Our design allows for the electrical signal to be converted by a media converter into light sent over a fiber cable external or internal over any distance and then converted back from light to an electrical signal at the other end. This is often used for linking servers in different buildings and provides IT managers with a fiber optic communication total solution.

Fiber Optic Transmission Equipment

This can be achieved by either installing a single stand alone media converter which has a fiber adapter as an input and then a single RJ45 port as the output, this will then patch into your existing network switch.

The alternative is to purchase a network switch which comes with built in SFP slots (small form factor transmission ports) this then allows you to purchase the SFP ports singularly and simply plug them in. Once installed the fiber can be patched direct form the patch panel to the switch, this then allows you to connect multiple buildings or floors back to your main network.

We can also install long range multiplexers for high bandwidth.

TeslaWatt can provide cable testing for all types of low voltage cabling. With years of experience in network testing, we have the tools and the staff to thoroughly test and document your network infrastructure.  We can test Cat 5e, Cat 6, Coax and Fiber Optic cables. Our technicians can help you overcome isolated obstacles or help you document cabling for an entire building.

Many customers use our network testing service for when they move into a new building with an existing network infrastructure.
